Country Lookup Tool
A site for both the WebMaster and the WebUser
updated March 1,2012: If you're looking for a good way to keep most hackers and spammers off your website or message board, I have a nice little PHP script that will help you. It's easy to install and is only a few lines of PHP code that you insert onto your site. Check it out here
July 18, 2011: Good news... the IPCountryBlock package finally gets a long awaited update. Both the new and old kernels are now supported without having to manually modify the iptables rules files. Also, a menu program is added along with HTML documentation.
Welcome to "Fixing The Web" where the focus is on making your internet experience more pleasant for you and those around you.
We specialize in helping you to keep the rotten people out and only let the good ones in. Whether you're running internet services on a dedicated server or a web site on a shared server, we can help. The idea is to block the countries that are causing you the most trouble. If you don't mind allowing the entire world to have access to your stuff, then this site probably isn't much use to you. But if you have a need to keep numerous troublesome countries out, then enjoy what is available for you here.

IPCountryBlock package for an entire dedicated server.
Also included in each of the two packages above is a country lookup tool. Just enter an IP address and it will display the IP range it falls in as well as the country the IP range belongs to along with several IP ranges and countries on both sides of the IP range. You can try IPToCountry right here on this site.
